Description
16 New Street in Findochty is a 2-storey, 3-bay house built in 1910, featuring an asymmetrical frontage. The building is constructed from rubble with contrasting painted concrete dressings and harled flanks. The entrance, located at the center, has a round-headed hoodmould and a fanlight above the door. On the south side, there is a full-height projecting canted window, while the north side has a bipartite window with a canted oriel dormer above. The windows have moulded jambs and 2-pane glazing. The northeast corner has a wide canted angle with a datestone positioned at first-floor height. The house has end stacks with concrete copes and a slate roof. There is a modern flat-roofed garage attached to the north gable.
