Description

Earlier 19th century. 3-storey, 2-bay classical pedimented tenement with shop at ground. Droved ashlar; S elevation squared and coursed rubble, W elevation harled. Raised margins and quoins. String course above 2nd floor.

E (HIGH STREET) ELEVATION: earlier 20th century shop front at ground with door to right and window to left. Regularly disposed fenestration at 1st and 2nd floors. Moulded pediment breaking blocking course with lunette window; corniced die at apex.

S (ELLIOT'S CLOSE) ELEVATION: display window and fascia extends around corner from E elevation. Irregularly sized and disposed fenestration.

W ELEVATION: window at 1st and 2nd floor to right. Single storey rubble range (No 73) adjoined at ground.

N ELEVATION: adjoined to Nos 77 and 79 High Street (see separate listing).

Sash and case windows with plate glass glazing pattern to E elevation, small-pane glazing to S and W elevations. Slate roof. Gablehead stacks, mutual brick to N, truncated to W.
