Description

The Walled Garden at Melville Castle dates from the late 18th to early 19th century. It is a very large walled garden, measuring approximately 160 meters by 110 meters. On the northern wall, there are lean-to potting sheds with three bays, featuring a boarded door in the center flanked by timber sash and case windows. The potting sheds are constructed from rubble and have slated roofs. The garden's walls are brick-lined rubble with a flat ashlar coping.
