Description

Earlier to mid 19th century. 2-storey and attic 5-bay flatted villa with quadrant corner bays. Painted sandstone, ashlar to front, stugged ashlar to sides, coursed and squared rubble to rear. Base course; raised margins; eaves cornice.

N (FRONT) ELEVATION: pilastered doorway to centre with blocking course bearing tablet, deep-set panelled door and 2-pane fanlight; blind window at 1st floor. Regular fenestration to flanking bays with moulded reveals, and at ground floor corniced with bracketted cills; curved outer cornerr bays with window to each floor and blocking course above sewpt up into gable skews. Assortment of 4 later dormers.

E (VICTORIA ROAD) ELEVATION: gabled; 3-bay. Pilastered doorway to centre with blocking course bearing tablet, single window above; single windows to left (at 1st floor blocked).

S (REAR) ELEVATION: rubble-built stair giving access to 1st floor doorways; single windows. Modern dormers.

W ELEVATION: gabled; single windows to centre bays. Some 12-pane timber sash and case windows with thin astragals, many replacement windows. Slate roof; 2 coped gablehead stacks to E and W with octagonal cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1993.
