Description
This building at 11 Island Bank Road in Inverness dates from around 1850 and is constructed of rubble with ashlar dressings. It is a one-storey structure with an attic, featuring two windows and a central porch that has a parapet and a pilastered round-arched doorpiece. The end bays have shallow bows. There are three dormers; the outer two are tripartite with bracketed balconies and broad gablets topped with wrought-iron anthemion finials, while the central dormer is round-headed. The building has broad eaves and a modern extension to the south that is designed to be in keeping with the original structure.
