Description
Craigdhu is a later 19th century, two-storey and attic asymmetrical villa located at 16 Canonbury Terrace in Fortrose. The building features three bays with a central door. To the right, there is an advanced round gable that includes a bow window rising to a canted bay window. On the left, a drum tower rises two storeys and is topped with a conical roof and iron finials. The first-floor centre window is set in a gabled dormer head with a stone finial. The villa has a corbelled eaves course and is constructed from dressed red rubble with ashlar dressings. The roof is slate. An ornate cast iron ogee balcony is supported by four fluted columns, with brackets that are decorated with a Pegasus and trefoil motif.
