Description

The Harbour at The Shore in Fortrose was designed by Thomas Telford and built between 1813 and 1817. It features a small rectangular basin that is enclosed by two piers. The east pier is made of rubble, while the west pier is L-shaped and constructed from coursed rubble. The harbour underwent repairs in 1881 by civil engineer James Fraser and has had further work done since then.
