Kingillie House, Crescent Road, Nairn

Kingillie House is an early 19th century, single-storey dwelling built over a raised basement, featuring three bays. The house has significant mid or later 19th century extensions at the rear (west). It is harled with ashlar dressings. The main entrance is located on the east elevation and is accessed by a flight of steps that leads to an over-sailing raised basement. The entrance is framed by a semi-circular porch with an entablature supported by four Roman Doric columns, with bowed bays on either side rising from the basement. Each bow has a single window on both storeys, with hoodmoulds above the first-floor windows and a band course at ground level. At the rear, there is a two-storey crenellated wing, and a later crenellated parapet connects the gable ends and stacks. The roof is slate and curves over the bows. Inside, the house features enriched plaster ceilings.
