Description
Heatherly House, located at 22 Culduthel Road in Inverness, was designed by Ross & Joass around 1860 to 1864 and features Ruskinian Gothic details. The building is constructed of snecked rubble with ashlar dressings and is large, comprising two storeys and an attic. The front is asymmetrical, with an advanced bay on the left and a lower service wing on the right. There is a porch with an arched doorpiece, and all gables are adorned with bargeboards. The west elevation includes a two-storey canted window at the southern end, and the house has tall, shaped, and corniced chimney stacks. Additionally, there are octagonal gatepiers and a rubble garden wall.
