Beechlawn, 20 Culduthel Road, Inverness

Beechlawn, located at 20 Culduthel Road in Inverness, was built around 1850. This two-storey building features a three-bay south front with an advanced center that includes an open pediment. The outer windows are bipartite and have round-arched lights, and there is a later conservatory at the center. The east gable also has an open pediment with a blind oculus and one bipartite window with round-arched lights on the ground floor. The north wing is a single storey.

In 1890, an addition was made by Alexander Ross, which includes a large two-storey block with a three-storey crenellated parapeted tower at the re-entrant angle with the original house. This addition features an open pedimented gable with a two-storey bow.

The property is complemented by square-plan panelled gatepiers with chamfered corners, and the garden wall is constructed of rubble.
