Description
This is an 18th-century church with subsequent repairs and alterations, situated within its own graveyard. The church itself is a simple rectangular building with harled walls, although the west gable is rendered to resemble ashlar. It has three windows on its south side, featuring later 19th-century glazing. A small, 18th-century bellcote in the form of a birdcage sits atop the west gable, and a stone cross marks the east end. The roof is slate-covered.
The graveyard is enclosed by rubble walls, with square rubble gate piers topped with stone finials. A notable feature is a late 17th or early 18th-century grave slab, alongside a variety of other grave markers from the 19th and 20th centuries. The church remains in ecclesiastical use. Repair works were carried out between 1821 and 1830, and the interior was re-designed in 1863 and again in 1929.
