Description

7 Shandwick Street in Tain consists of three early 19th century cottages, each two storeys high, with No. 3 built over a raised basement. The cottages are three bays wide with a central door. They are constructed from coursed rubble with tooled dressings. Each cottage features three piended dormers that rise through the eaves, end stacks, and slate roofs.

No. 3 is accessed by a forestair and has 2-pane sash windows. No. 5 includes a glazed porch, while No. 7 has an off-centre door and 12-pane glazing on the ground floor.
