The original entrance is located at the rear, on the west side. Attached to the main house is a two-storey, three-bay west wing from the early 19th century, which has an advanced northwest bay and a centre projecting gabled entrance on the north elevation. The exterior is finished in white harling with contrasting tooled red granite margins. The east side has three early 19th century piended dormers, and the windows feature 12-pane glazing. The building includes crowsteps, margined and coped end stacks, and is topped with slate roofs.
