Description
The Laundry at Armadale Castle, located on Skye, was built between 1821 and 1822 under the supervision of John Sinclair. This two-storey building features a symmetrical three-bay front elevation made of rubble with tooled dressings and Gothic details. The south-facing front has a blind center door, while the west gable includes a pointed-headed door with a Gothic hoodmould and a window above it. The east gable also has a similar blind door. The rear of the building has asymmetrical window arrangements. Some Gothic-style glazing remains, and there is a small cast-iron grate with Gothic detailing on the first floor.
