Description
Ostaig Farm Square features mid 19th century cottages set within a large farm square. The buildings are constructed of coursed rubble with tooled dressings and form a U-plan range, with the south end enclosed by a high wall. At the southeast angle, there is a three-storey tower topped with a pyramidal roof. The west range serves as an assembly hall, characterized by large round-headed windows that date from around 1900. The east range has a first floor accessed by a forestair and is illuminated by dormers that extend through the wallhead. The roofs are covered with slate. Additionally, there are a pair of mid 19th century cottages that are harled with painted reveals; each cottage has three bays, with central doors and wings at the rear, and also features a slate roof.
