Description
The Manse at Sleat Parish Church in Kilmore, Skye, was designed by James Gillespie (Graham) around 1810 in the Tudor Gothic style. It is constructed of coursed rubble with some heavy cement pointing and features tooled dressings. The building has an L-plan layout, consisting of two storeys with three bays on the southwest side and four asymmetrical bays with the entrance located on the southeast. A circular turret, which formerly contained stairs, rises above a crenellated wallhead. The southeast elevation showcases a wide south bay with two-light windows on both the ground and first floors, all featuring pointed heads, along with a door and Gothic glazing, including a fanlight. The roof is a shallow piended slate design. There is a later 19th-century addition to the northeast, along with alterations to the interior, including the re-siting of the staircase.
