Description
Kilmary, the Roman Catholic Church of St Mary, is a mid to late 19th century, two-storey, three-bay house located in Arisaig Village. The main elevation faces west, while the east elevation is built against a slope. The building is constructed of heavily cemented pointed rubble with tooled ashlar dressings.
The central door is sheltered by a projecting gabled porch and is flanked by bipartite windows. There are paired, small windows on the first floor in the center, while the outer first-floor windows are positioned just above the eaves, featuring gabletted dormers. The windows have two- and four-pane glazing, and there are end stacks on the roof, which is covered with slate. Additionally, there is another entrance located in the center of the first floor on the east elevation, which is also under a simple gablet.
