Description
The Haa in Bardister, Ollaberry, is a late 18th century, two-storey and attic building with a symmetrical three-bay design. The exterior features harled walls and margined windows. The north elevation, which is the principal facade, includes a gabled porch with a stone finial at the center of the ground floor, flanked by windows in the side bays, and regular window placement on the first floor. There are square attic windows on the left side of the gables. The rear elevation has small square windows at both the ground and first floors, with a single window in the left bay and a vertically-boarded timber door in the right bay, where a gabled porch has been removed.
The building has timber sash and case windows, with 12 panes on the principal elevation and 4 panes on the rear elevation and porch. The roof is covered with purple-grey slate, and there are harled three-flue apex stacks with stone copes and circular cans.
An outbuilding to the west is a single-storey structure made of random rubble with a gabled roof. It features a variety of doors and windows on the north elevation, including a wide door with a window in the gablehead of the west gable, while the rear elevation is blank. This outbuilding has a two-flue apex stack with red cans on the east gable.
The property is enclosed by random rubble boundary walls that surround a rectangular garden to the east.
