Description
This is an early 19th century sawmill, built into the hillside beside Berriedale water in an L-plan. The mill is constructed of rubble with dressed stone details. An undershot water wheel is set within the north gable. The west elevation is symmetrical, with two storeys and three bays, featuring 12-pane glazing. The south elevation, which fronts the road, is single-storey and has an irregular frontage, with an end chimney stack and a slate roof. The building was formerly used as a corn or meal mill.
