Description
The Bank Barn at Kildonnan Farm on Eigg is likely from the early 19th century. It is a two-storey building made of white-washed rubble, serving as a combination steading and barn with long elevations on the east and west sides. The east elevation features a regular arrangement with three doors on the ground floor and a central winnowing door on the first floor, which is flanked by paired slit vents. Similar slit vents are present in the north and south gables. The central winnowing door in the east elevation is flanked by wide modern windows, and there is a later door in the north gable that provides access to the first floor, which is approached by a wooden forestair. The building is topped with a slate roof.
