Description
The Steading Barn at Kilmalieu is an early 19th century, long rectangular, two-storey barn. It features a symmetrical eleven-bay northwest elevation with three first-floor loft entrances, two of which are accessed by wooden forestairs, and long slit vents positioned between them. The southeast elevation has two later added wide central entrances, flanked on both sides by stable doors and windows. There is a single central first-floor winnowing door with symmetrical slit vents on either side. The northwest gable includes a segmental-headed carriage cart entrance on the ground floor, and the barn is topped with a piended shingle roof.
