Description

The monument to Sir Hector Macdonald, located in Muir of Allangrange, was built in 1903. It features a telescope-type tower that has two stages, each adorned with bold cornices and blocking courses, as well as small merlons at the top of each stage. The tower includes a tall architraved door, with a tall plaque situated in a corniced architrave directly above it. The structure is made of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings. Surrounding the tower is a circular dwarf wall topped with railings.
