Description

Avoch Football Ground, built in 1873 by Alexander Ross, was erected on its current site around 1960. It features four square-plan chamfered and stopped ashlar gate piers topped with stepped pyramidal copes that have ball finials. The original cast iron gates consist of a double pair at the center and narrow single gates on either side. Both central piers include bronze sockets for bell pulls, with one pier still having the original bronze pull.
