Description
The Station Hotel, located on Bridge Street in Avoch, was built in 1892. This two-storey building features dormer heads on the first floor and has three bays. The central bay includes a door topped with a Tudor hood mould. On the first floor, the outer windows are bipartite, with gablet dormer heads on either side of a central shaped gablet dormer head. These dormers are adorned with roundels and stone finials, and they are connected by an early cast iron sign that reads "STATION HOTEL." The building is constructed from squared rubble with broached and stugged ashlar dressings, and it has chamfered margins. The roof is finished with slate.
