Description

Caretaker's Cottage at St Duthus's Collegiate Church in Tain was built by Maitland and Sons in 1884/85. This picturesque, asymmetrical cruciform structure is made of tool ashlar with ashlar dressings. It is a single-storey gabled lodge featuring a gabled porch in the re-entrant. The cottage has a canted bay window on the north side with a panelled apron, round chimneys, and cross finials on the apexes. The roof is steeply pitched and covered with slate.
