Description
Durinemast, located on the Ardtornish Estate, is a cottage dated 1861. It is a single-storey and attic structure with three bays and a recessed front facade. The side gable walls and roof project outward to create a sheltered, continuous front verandah. The building is constructed of random rubble with harled gables and tooled rubble dressings. The central door is flanked by windows, and there are three rear windows that provide light to the internal store or stock accommodation, accessible from either gable. The west gable features two small attic windows and a datestone positioned between them. The windows have multi-pane glazing, and the end stacks are made of tooled rubble with blocked and moulded concrete copes. The roof is slate. Additionally, there is a single-storey, single-bay lean-to wing at the west gable, built in a similar style to the cottage, which includes a rear door.
