57-59 Glassford Street in Glasgow is a seven-storey warehouse designed by Thomson, Sandilands and Macleod between 1934 and 1937. The building features red ashlar cladding over a reinforced A-framed construction. The ground level is finished with ashlar and polished granite facing Glassford Street, with a cill course that separates the ground and first floors. The facade has three bays on Glassford Street and five bays on Wilson Street. Giant Ionic pilasters divide the bays between the first and fifth floors, supporting a frieze and cornice, while the sixth floor is a plain flat-roofed attic. Painted metal bands highlight the floor levels between the cills and lintels, adorned with Red Indian-like decoration, fluted necks to the columns, and bands between the sixth-floor windows. The windows are metal framed and casement style.
