Description

J T Rochead, architect, 1849. 4-storey polished painted

ashlar warehouse with classical details. 6 regular bays

to Trongate, 4 to King Street, angled bay to corner

with entrance to ground. Polished painted ashlar,

pilasters divide bays, rusticated to corner bays.

Ground floor with modern shopfronts. All windows single

light with pilastered reveals, all sash and case with

plate-glass glazing. Cornices over each floor.

Balustraded parapet with partly pierced ashlar

balustrade, cornucopia detail flanking: Glasgow tree at

angle.
