Description

1856-60. 4-storey corner warehouse building, probably

cast-iron framed. Painted ashlar, modern shops to

ground. Regular 4-bay elevations to Trongate and 5-bay

to Hutcheson Street. Pilasters divide bays, giant

through 1st and 2nd. Each bay has tripartite window

with thin pilaster mullions. Mostly plate glass, some

top hopper opening. Moulding string courses and cornices

between floors. Deep dentilled eaves cornice, parapet

with die piers.
