Description
151 Trongate in Glasgow is a tall, four-storey warehouse built around 1860, featuring a palazzo-style front without columns. The building has five bays and a single bay return elevation to the west. The ground floor has been altered with modern shop fronts, while the upper floors are finished in polished painted ashlar.
All the windows are single light and have elaborately moulded architraves. The first floor features consoled pediments, the second floor has consoled cornices, and the third floor is keystoned. All windows are sash and case with plate-glass glazing.
Additional architectural details include a cornice above the ground floor, a moulded cill band at the second floor, and decorative rope moulding at the third floor cill band. The building also has an eaves band, a deep mutule main cornice, and slate roofs.
