Description

Wright and Wylie, 1924-27. 3 storeys over raised basement, 3 bays with narrow stair bay to N. Yellow sandstone ashlar. Channelled voussoirs to wide segmental headed basement windows. Bays divided by stylised

pilasters. Ground and 1st floor windows (1-3-1 lights), in recessed bays, metal framed with slender pilaster mullions, broad moulded metal bands between floors. Deep bracketted cornice over 1st floor; low eaves gallery with simple mutule cornice. Door in narrow N bay, set in moulded architrave; tall window lighting stair above with margined panes. N bay rises above eaves of S bays with shallow, stepped parapet.
