Description

Wylie, Wright, and Wylie, 1928-31. Art Deco. 4 storeys

and basement, 9 bays, arranged 1-7-1, outer entrance bays

advanced and raised. Steel framed, polished ashlar faced,

side elevation squared rubble, metal framed windows.

Casement windows with metal friezes between floors. 5

central bays linked vertically and horizontally 1st to

3rd floors. Architraved doorpieces to ends and centre

with lettering above central doorway "INCORPORATED DENTAL

HOSPITAL 1931". Narrow outer bays with windows set in

panelled margins. 7-bay central section, recessed eaves

gallery at 4th floor with 2 outer pilasters, moulded cill

and independent modillion cornice.

Splayed boundary walls with die and metal railings.
