Description
This building, located at 373, 375, 377, and 379 Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow, dates from around 1850 and is a four-storey classical tenement with shops. It features 16 bays and is constructed of ashlar stone, which is partially painted. The ground floor has been modernized for shops. All windows are sash and case, primarily with eight-pane glazing. The first floor has been altered in the eight outer bays. The windows on the first and second floors are set in recessed margins and are adorned with a sculpted frieze between the floors. There is a cill band at the third floor, which also has Doric pilasters framing the windows and a Greek key frieze. The eaves are decorated with a paterae frieze and cornice, and the building has ridge stacks and a slate roof.
