Description
260 and 262 Renfrew Street in Glasgow are early 19th century classical villas that are attached to each other. They stand two storeys tall with a basement and feature nine bays, along with a later two-bay addition on the left side. The exterior is made of droved ashlar stone. The doorways are symmetrically arranged and include fanlights and Roman Doric doorpieces. There are twelve architraved sash windows, cornices on the ground floor, and a blind central bay. The eaves have a cornice, and there are end and central stacks, although the end stack at No 256 has been removed.
Inside No 256, there is a stained glass stair light and Art Nouveau details. The property is enclosed by squared rubble boundary walls topped with ashlar coping, along with ashlar gate piers and cast-iron gates.
