Description
80 and 82 St Vincent Street in Glasgow is a tall, narrow, three-bay commercial building designed by J W Laird and Napier, constructed between 1938 and 1939 in a 1930s classic style. The building is made of ashlar stone. The ground floor features a modern window with a large notched keystone and a door to the right. The first floor has arched windows, with the center window framed by a mannered, stepped block. A balcony extends over the first, second to sixth floor windows, which are set into a full-height frame. The building is adorned with a decorative frieze and a small cornice, and it has a set-back pantiled mansard attic. The windows are metal framed.
