Strathbungo Parish Church, 605 Pollokshaws Road, Glasgow

Strathbungo Parish Church is a church with a tower built in 1886 by J MacKissack, who was a member of the congregation. The church is located on the site of, and retains part of, Charles Wilson's church from 1839. It features a combination of Romanesque and Scots Gothic architectural styles. The exterior is made of snecked and stugged ashlar with polished dressings and slate roofs. The church has a lofty gabled front facing the street, supported by massive stepped buttresses and a sculptured doorway. To the left, there is a square tower with stepped buttresses, and the walls are almost blank at the belfry stage. The tower has an open crown spire that springs from domed finials and is topped by a small lantern. At the rear of the church, there is a church hall that incorporates work by Wilson.
