Description
80-82 Hill Street in Glasgow is a simple classical tenement built around 1860. It is a four-storey building with seven bays, constructed from ashlar stone, featuring a rusticated ground floor. The entrance to No 80 consists of double-leaf panelled storm doors, while No 82 has a plain doorway with a fanlight above it.
A moulded string course runs along the first floor. The ground floor includes a central three-light stone mullioned window, with entrances on either side and single-light windows in the outer bays. The first and second floors are adorned with one, two, and three-light sash and case windows, which are architraved and corniced with cills. The third floor lacks a cornice and is supported by a cill band. The building also features an eaves cornice and a blocking course, along with ridge and end stacks.
