1- 6 The Stables, 161 Crookston Road, Glasgow

1-6 The Stables, located at 161 Crookston Road in Glasgow, is a late 19th-century building that originally served as a stable block for Ross Hall. It now functions as part of the council parks department and consists of four ranges surrounding a courtyard, with a detached rectangular-plan range to the east. The structure is built of red ashlar with polished dressings and features crow-stepped gables and slate roofs.

The south range is nearly symmetrical and includes a central wide round-arched carriage opening flanked by two massive timber gates, with a sculptured crest positioned above. The north range is domestic in character, comprising a pair of three-bay houses that are single storey with an attic, featuring crow-stepped dormer heads set above the main eaves level. The courtyard is covered with a glass roof supported by a steel frame and trusses. The detached block is single storey with a loft and has a wide opening at the south end of its west wall.

The building was converted to residential accommodation in 1994.
