Rosshall Hospital, 221 Crookston Road, Glasgow

Rosshall Hospital is a tall three-storey mansion built in the late 19th century, now functioning as a hospital block. The building features Scots 17th century revival detailing, including crow-stepped gables, conical-roofed circular turrets, and a corbel table at the upper levels. The dormer heads are pedimented and break through the eaves, and there is a shallow porch at the east end of the north wall. A tall square tower with an octagonal cap-house is located at the southwest corner, showcasing extravagant sculptured details. The exterior is constructed of red ashlar stone, and the roofs are made of Westmoreland slate. There are lower ranges to the west, along with terraces and retaining walls to the east. The site has seen the addition of large modern hospital block extensions.
