Description
Euxton Hall is a large house from the 18th century that was rebuilt around 1850 and is now used as a hospital. The ground floor is constructed of ashlar and features a modern mansard roof made of concrete tiles, topped with a cupola at the center of the front. The building has a square plan measuring 7 bays by 6 bays and is designed in a Georgian style with a symmetrical layout. The entrance includes a pedimented doorway flanked by coupled demicolumns and a round-headed fanlight with radiating glazing bars. There are three sash windows with glazing bars and bracketed cornices on each side of the doorway, along with four similar windows on the left return wall, two of which are blocked. The right return wall and rear have various additions. Inside, there is said to be a good 18th-century plaster ceiling in the drawing room on the left, although it is now concealed by a false ceiling.
