5/114 Riverside Cottage - - II

Former fulling mill, early C17, now cottage. Coursed sandstone with quoins, stone slate roof with brick gable chimneys. Gable to road. Rectangular plan now 3 bays. On east side, 2 doors, 3 windows each floor; on west side, one door, 3 windows each floor, all variously altered; north gable (to road) has blocked square openings at ground and 1st floor levels, blocked ventilation slits on 3 levels; south gable (to river) has at ground level a small blocked opening with a rounded head (possibly for a drive shaft). Interior: 7 large chamfered beams and roof trusses set close to one another; otherwise, altered.
