Description

Fisher House Farmhouse is a small farmhouse, likely built in the early 18th century, with some remains from the late 17th century. The structure is now in a ruinous state and is constructed from coursed sandstone rubble with large quoins. It features a stone slate roof with gable chimneys, one of which is made of brick while the other is missing. The farmhouse has a rectangular single pile, two-bay plan with the gable facing the road and stands two storeys high. Vertical joints in the front and rear walls suggest possible alternate rebuilding.

The front wall has a door at the left end and another to the right of centre, along with two windows on the ground floor and three above, all of which were originally mullioned. The left and right halves of the front wall differ in appearance: the left side has flush masonry with a chamfered plinth, and its three windows had splayed reveals with flush mullions; the right side features watershot masonry with a lower plinth, and the mullions of its windows were chamfered and recessed, with two remaining.

The rear wall includes a boarded window and a doorway, and in the first bay, there are the remains of walls from a former dairy, with stone slabs still present.
