Crookston Station And Station Master's Cottage, 21 Lochmaben Road, Glasgow

Crookston Station and Station Master's Cottage, built between 1884 and 1885, is a single-storey, long rectangular-plan station that includes the stationmaster's cottage under one roof. The building is constructed of bull-faced ashlar with polished dressings and features mostly round-headed openings with roll-moulded margins and blocked imposts.

On the north elevation, there is an off-centre door that leads to the ticket office. The south elevation has a recessed six-bay timbered and glazed inner screen with a shelter behind it, which may have originally been open, supported by ornamented brackets. To the right of this, the three-bay cottage has a central door flanked by sidelights. A continuous band runs at cill level, and the deeply projecting eaves are supported by brackets with moulded ends. The building features corniced axial stacks and a slate roof, with a low outshot to the east that also serves a domestic purpose.

Inside, the ticket office has a timber panelled and glazed front.
