Description

circa 1820. Astylar classical 3-storey commercial and

domestic building, shops to ground.

ELEVATION TO INGRAM STREET: 8-bay with left 3 bays (No

168) recessed. ELEVATION TO JOHN STREET 5-bay. Polished

ashlar, all windows single light. All architraved

(except to 2nd floor of No 168), corniced to 1st. All

sash and case with 4-pane glazing. Cornice over ground,

eaves band, eaves cornice. Block pediment over central

bays. Slate roofs, tall corniced axial stacks with

octagonal cans. Interior with good panelled shutters to

1st.
