Description

The aqueduct on the Forth and Clyde Canal, located on Maryhill Road in Glasgow, was built in 1881 to carry the canal over the road. It features rusticated ashlar walling, soffits, and abutments. The polished voussoirs form segmental arches that support towpaths on either side of the large depressed arch structure that carries the canal.
