Lindsay Tenement, 38-40 Snuff Mill Road, Glasgow

Lindsay Tenement, located at 38-40 Snuff Mill Road in Glasgow, was built in 1863. This tall tenement features individual architectural treatment with Scots renaissance detailing. The front, which faces the street, is three stories high and symmetrical, with a basement that slopes to the rear. It has five bays, with the inner bay gabled and containing a door and window at ground level, and tall stair windows above. The building is constructed from stugged and snecked ashlar with polished dressings. It has sash windows that follow a 4-pane glazing pattern, stepped gables, and a slate roof. The west elevation has four bays with full-height outer canted windows and a pair of inner wall-head stacks. There is also a porch on the south flank.
