Description

The lodge at Bellahouston Park, located at 995 Paisley Road West in Glasgow, was designed by A B MacDonald in 1907. It is a single-storey building with an attic, characterized by its tall and compact form, featuring a mix of Scots and English Renaissance architectural details. The narrow main gable faces the street and has an aedicule at the attic level. The west front, which faces the driveway, has three bays and an advanced entrance gable, although the doorcase is missing. On the left side, there is a mullioned and transomed window. At the rear, there is a low wing with a parapet and a single bay, along with a range beyond that has a timber-framed gable-head. The exterior is harled with painted ashlar detailing, and the roofs are covered with slate.
