520 Paisley Road West is a three-storey tenement building, likely constructed around 1880, featuring a "Thomsonesque" style. It is set back from the street and includes occasional canted bays, with single windows otherwise. The building is made of stone-cleaned yellow ashlar, and most of the glazing has been replaced with modern cast-iron balustrades leading up to the doors. The ground floor windows are topped with consoled hoods, and there is a continuous moulding at the first floor that steps over the windows. Pilasters rise from the jambs at the third floor, and there is a deep main entablature. To the right, there is a six-bay return elevation that is similarly detailed, featuring a recessed canted angle bay. The structure is reinforced by an H-beam on the right side, and most of the chimney stacks have been reduced in height.
