Description
The building is a police station located at 16-24 Gairbraid Avenue in Glasgow, likely designed by Duncan McNaughtan around 1900. It is a two-storey structure with seven bays, constructed of polished ashlar. The police station is situated next to the Maryhill Burgh Halls and Maryhill Fire Station.
The façade features a central doorpiece with pilasters, and above it are paired round-arched windows that are flanked by channelled pilaster strips. All the windows are six-pane sashes set within moulded architraves. There is a band course that runs between the ground and first floor windows. The building is topped with a cornice and a blocking course that rises to a shallow segmental pediment at the center. Additionally, there is a central corniced stack and a piended slate roof.
