Trustee Savings Bank, 247-255 Springburn Way, Glasgow

The Trustee Savings Bank, located at 247-255 Springburn Way in Glasgow, was designed by Robert Ewan and built between 1893 and 1894. This bank features Renaissance ornamentation and is constructed from red ashlar, showcasing sculptured detailing and friezes. The building stands three storeys high with an attic and has a symmetrical design.

Above the ground floor, there is an entablature, and a pediment that originally framed a central door, which has since been converted into a window; the current entrance is situated to the right. The façade includes consoles with anthemion detail over pilaster strips that divide the bays. The upper floors consist of four bays with bipartite windows, and the outer sections are designed as shallow pavilions. A bracketed main cornice runs along the top, and there is a balustrade above the linking mullioned attic windows at the pedimented center and at both ends.
